I have attempted to update the firmware on a RT-AC86U for the last several days. I don't know if the problem is the AsUs site or something else. Any thoughrs?

What firmware are you on and what firmware are you trying to flash?

Have you removed all USB devices from the router, rebooted, and waited at least 10 minutes before you try updating the firmware?

What firmware are you on and what firmware are you trying to flash?

You can also download the firmware and flash it manually.

The RT-AC86U has version 81351 and the node AC3100 has 81116. I get message that the Asus server is not available.

And what firmware update you expect for RT-AC86U? You already have the latest one available.
