Flash ASUS OE Firmware over Merlin - any special requirements?

I want to try out AiMesh on my RT-AC68U while Merlin decides if he wants to incorporate it in his future build.

Can I flash the ASUS OE Firmware over Merlin's via the GUI ?
Or do I need to do something before hand?
