Flint 2 (GL-MT6000) vs ASUS RT-AX88U PRO AX6000

Now you have the new Glinet Flint 3, with lower 1,5 GHz processor, No Mesh option till now, Older Openwrt firmware & no rotatable antennas.
Other specs / price are great, but I'll stick to Asus.

Flint 3 is a completely different platform - qualcommbe vs Mediatek AX
Flint2 is pretty solid - and it is a fast follower for the OpenWRT One reference board these days...
TUF-AX6000 from Asus is close to what MT6000 is, except for less RAM and it's NAND flash vs. eMMC...

Is the Flint2 actually stable now or should I just get an Asus router?
Update: Tried to muck around with Flint2 for a week. Updated firmware to what everyone said was stable. Had issues connecting to LAN. Then had issues getting Internet to connect despite it giving itself a WAN IP. Got a secondary router as well. Secondary router-as-wired WiFi backhaul (mesh-ish rather than repeater) configured correctly.

Then it wouldn't turn on. No LAN, no lights, no remote access, no hard reset. Gave up, returned both of them. Both of these were headaches to get working and people are still saying they're unstable when they're doing what I want to do, to this day.

Now we were going to get an AX88U but it's been more expensive than an RT-BE92U for a while now, so got the latter. So long as no hardware fault, should run rMerlin just fine.
