Forward HTTP to HTTPS? (AiCloud)

Outcasst

Occasional Visitor
Hi, I've only just recently discovered the new AiCloud page feature in the new firmware.

I don't want to have to specifically type in https://*****.asuscomm.com in order to access the AiCloud page.

Instead, I want to be able to type in *****.asuscomm.com in to the URL bar and have the AiCloud page come up. Essentially forwarding the HTTP traffic (8080) to the HTTPS page (443).

I've tried adding a rule in the port forwarding section, forwarding traffic from port 8080 to local port 443 with the IP address of the router, but this does not work.

Any advice on how to get this working? Or if it's even possible?

Thank you.

the webui listens on different ports than aicloud, which is why the https webui port is set for 8443 by default. you will always require https for aicloud, so the most you can accomplish here is to move it to another port which in addition to requiring that https be specified, would require appending :port to the URL.

tl;dr NOPE.

Alright. In that case then I guess I can live with typing 5 extra characters.

Thanks.
