(Free) DDNS recommendation?

I certainly don’t want to pay for it so is their a big difference from ASUS to the others?

First, lots of free options. Never hurts to have a second (or third) if there is no cost
Second, some people don't like the way ASUS works as it "holds" the domain name and could be difficult to get it released to reuse. The majority of users probably don't care as you can just create a new one with a new router.

If your current stup is working for you and meets your needs then don't worry about it

I tried using Asus DDNS but at the particular time I was trying to set it up, it was down. So I went with Afraid instead and I have no issues.
