GPL for RT-Ac66U .726 is in the Asus site now, soon RT-N66u will. That's good news we might see Merlin's magic based on this release in a week or two hopefully.

Check Merlin's posts, pretty sure he has mentioned a few times that the different h/w now has uncorrelated and non-chronological rev #s. I can't find it at my fingertips, but he put up a good list the other day showing which h/w and which rev things are on.

Base from the release dates, yes .726 is newer. Wait for Merlin's confirmation he knows.

You can usually safely rely on the release date from Asus to determine what is newer. So yes, N66 720 is newer than AC56 134 (not a lot of changes however, the two are fairly close), which is newer than N66 257.

That file is corrupted on Asus's server.

I was able to recover most of that archive using gzrecover and cpio. It's almost virtually identical to the 720 release for the N66, minus a few webui pages, and some minor things here and there.

The wireless driver blobs are readable in that first half of the archive, and the rest can easily be reused from the N66U GPL or from the binary FW itself.

They will. It's currently a holiday in Taiwan, so it can take a few days however.
