Guest Network Pro - General Setup - No internet without intranet on.

DarkMega

New Around Here
Have worked through the various tips and tricks, vlan's are setup, etc.....still not internet, usually doesn't even connect. Asked 2 diff Ai's for support (GPT and Gemini) both have basically same solutions that they could find...no internet on guest network unless intranet is on.

I'm running:
GT-AXE16000 - Main
BT8 x3 - Mesh Nodes

Before the new guest menu, it worked....i remember you needed to put it on the "2nd" guest network option (3 vertical selections per band...pick the middle one and it worked) but that isn't available with Guest Network Pro menu. When the update happened...the old guest network was still live but not registering or available to "see" in any menu's but was working and you could login to it...which i thought was weird. I decided to do a full wipe and setup from scratch so the menu would have the guest network available to edit....now i cant get it to work, usually doesn't allow you to login.....sometimes work and seems to depend on the device.

ANY help is extremely appreciated!

First, it would likely help if you post your Guest Network Pro profile settings for others to review. It would help to explain in more detail which clients don't have internet access, the clients attached to the Guest Network Pro and or the clients connecting to AiMesh. And to confirm you have selected the AiMesh node in the Guest Network Pro Profile's AiMesh Node section.

Second, if you haven't done so already, use the forum search feature to find the various prior discussions on Guest Network Pro and issues people are having with the feature. If I remember right I think one or two others may have experienced similar issues in needing to enable Guest Network Pro Intranet Access to get Internet working.

PS: One may need to dump the IPTables on the main router to see how the IPTables are configured and how/why it's blocking internet access for the Guest Network Pro profile(s).
