Guest network pro while in AP mode and VLAN setup?

I am running three AX86U Pro mesh in AP mode, behind a dedicated firewall/router. 3006.102.4 Merlin. Once I added a guest network pro profile, I noticed that a VLAN ID was created but no DHCP or subnet configuration ("same subnet" turned off because I want to isolate). Naturally, the clients connected to the guest network get no DHCP nor Internet. Is the missing DHCP config in guest network pro because I am running the AX86U Pro in AP mode? I presume I have to configure the VLAN (and DHCP) in my firewall using the Asus VLAN ID so the tagged packets are serviced by my firewall/router?

Thanks.
