HDD 3,5 booting WiFi

Hi
I have an AC86U router with a 3.5-inch hard drive connected to it in an external enclosure powered by 12V. I have Download Master running on the router, and very often when downloading files – especially at the start of the process – both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi networks reset
I’ve already tried changing the USB ports, but that didn’t help.
The drive uses the HFS+ file system.

And beware the RT-AC86U failing... either a voltage regulation circuit burns out or a radio becomes erratic... fails. It is not a reliable router and using it for data storage is not a good idea.

Also, using USB3.0 mode can generate EMI that will disrupt 2.4 wireless client connections at distance as the
SNR approaches 0... the strong EMI noise at the router USB port connection/cabling/peripheral device overwhelms the weak WiFi signal coming from the distant client.
