If you are using Merlin's firmware on an Asus router did you follow what look to be rather complete instructions on Perfect Privacy's web site.

I would suggest you contact Perfect Privacy and see if the instructions are applicable and updated to Merlin's latest firmware as I know with PIA I had to make a couple of adjustments to get a stable connection.
