Everything was working fine on my RT-N66U but I tried to another router. Long story short, I'm back to my Asus. My problem is I can no longer access my Asus router via 192.168.1.1 (using Chrome, IE or Oprah browsers) from my Windows 10 64b laptop (wired or wireless) or Desktop (wired). The error I get is:

The connection was reset.

However, I can access it find using the Asus app on either my Android phone or tablet. I tried the Asus app on my Windows machines and get "Login Failed: The connection with the server was reset". BTW, in that app I'm using port 80.
I did a reset on the router and setup it up completely fresh with my tablet. The routing function is working fine both wired and wireless. But I still can't access via my PC (ethernet connection) or laptop (wireless). I even took the router and hooked only my laptop to it with ethernet to one of the four output ports and 192.168.1.1 again failed as described above. If I do IPCONFIG the 192.168.1.1 is my default gateway.
The RT-N66U is running the latest firmware ...380.7266. I'm not sure since my head has been spinning but maybe I updated the firmware during the steps of trying to fix this. Just don't recall clearly.
I do see a yellow exclamation point on the Asus router interface though (going thru my tablet). It says "The WAN IP is not the external IP. External IP-based services will not work". This may be related to I have an AT&T Modem/Router upstream of the Asus but the AT&T device is in bridge mode and that setup has been fine for well over a year until I tried a new router.
Sorry for the long post..
Any help would be much appreciated.

Try:
- Checking the connection
- Checking the proxy and the firewall
- Running Windows Network Diagnostics
