I know this is a completely noob question that probably gets brought up constantly, but I'm in need of some help. I currently have a basic and aging Linksys router that's in need of replacement. I have about 12 wifi capable devices in my house (iPhone x 2, iPad, PC x 3, Mac x 3, Xbox x 2, Apple TV), at least three of which are pulling data at any given time. I'd like to spend about $175, and need some more advanced features than your basic setup (port forwarding, UPnP, QoS).
I've read up on some recent releases, including the Cisco E4200V1/V2, Netgear WNDR4500, and Asus RT-N66U, all of which seem to receive positive reviews. I really don't know much about these other than they're somewhat new and supposed to be high end from each brand. Are either of these significant better than the other? Is there another model that I should be looking at? Any advice or tips? Thanks.
