Help! Unable to Access Router

TrainingMontage

New Around Here
Hi everyone. I installed the stable 31 from Merlin's site yesterday and I played around with some settings. It ran stable for a night, but tonight my internet speeds have been horrendous ( it went from 2MB/s to around 100KB/s). Additionally, when I would load the router's settings; each page took forever to load. I disabled all shares, media servers, the DDNS feature, and the Bittorrent client in an attempt to speed up the router, leaving on my guest network for my roommates. The traffic monitor says they aren't using an undue amount of bandwidth or anything and they've also complained of slow internet, so I'm really stumped as to whats going on. I played around with some more settings and now the only thing I get when I go to 192.168.1.1 is this message:

"Settings have been updated. Web page will now refresh.
Changes have been made to the IP address or port number. You will now be disconnected from RT-N66R.
To access the settings of RT-N66R, reconnect to the wireless network and use the updated IP address and port number."

I no longer see the console or anything. What's wrong with my router? What should I do?

Thanks!

Sounds like something is overloading the router. First guess is this could be your media database that got stored in RAM, and quickly filled it up.

Reboot the router, and monitor the RAM and CPU usage on the Tools -> System Info page. If you see your RAM gradually going down to the point of eventually getting under 5 MB then further troubleshooting will have to be done, but most likely this is caused by the Media Server indexing too many files, and storing the database in RAM instead of on the disk itself.
