New Around Here
Greetings everyone,

For the past two weeks I have been having a very strange problem.
At least once a day sometimes multiple times the router will cease allowing any clients wired or wireless to access the internet.
All clients are still connected to the router and as far as I can tell the router does not reset.
The strange part is if I attempt to access the webgui administration when this happens I am immediately hit with "incorrect login pass" regardless that I am entering the correct information.
At first I thought that this was some kind of intrusion so I immediately factory reset the router restored config from backup and changed my login and password router and wireless (I use a 25 character password with upper and lowercase letters, numbers and special characters).
This however kept happening and so far I have tried downgrading and upgrading the firmware and I have completely entered all config information from scratch without using a settings restore.
It took me an embarrasingly long time to realize that I did not have to factory reset the router when this happens and simply manually turning it off and on again allows access however this precludes me from seeing any logs related to this situation.
At this point I am wondering if this is some kind of hardware problem and I should be looking to RMA or if there is something else I can do.
Any advise would be welcome.

Thanks in advance.

Your saved config file may contain the repeating error. Factory reset, manually config then flash the firmware again. A hard factory reset followed by a manual config. Let the router run for a while with most of the settings at default especially the WIFI. Shorten up your passwords and use only numbers and letters. No spaces or special characters.

I believe he might be doing exactly as you suggest ?

Turning the router off and on should not erase the logs, although you might loose the last few entries.

Save the log file you have (using the button on System Log - General Log) and upload it to somewhere like www.file.io. Then post a link to that file so we can take a look. If there's a hardware problem it might be visible in the log.

Also make sure that you have not enabled any form of remote access to the router (e.g. web, SSH or AiCloud).
