This is a diagram of my home network, with one connection missing, I currently have the PC connected to the switch but every once in a while I have Internet connection issues, the home network appears rock solid. Should I have the PC connected to the router instead? My home network includes a Synology NAS so to me it is more straightforward to have the PC connected to the switch and then from the switch to the NAS. Although I do have wifi, this is all wired.

It doesn't matter much. Troubleshoot the connection issue between the switch and the PC.

See if the issue follows the cable you are using to connect the PC to the switch or if the issue is with one port or one half of the ports (sets of 4 or 8 possibly).

It may also follow the port on the PC. Or the driver version loaded. Any updates just before this started occurring ?
