Home VLAN setup help needed

StevenK

New Around Here
Can someone help me setting up a local VLAN on my Netgear GS716T? I'm a beginner but I've been reading up on it and got a general idea but setting it up in real life is a different beast, even with the good examples I saw somewhere here :-)

Goal:
To reduce complexity and hardware that doesn't support tagging (Q) I'd like to do everything port based if possible. From my understanding this will be an asymmetrical VLAN setup, controlled/separated by PVIDs?

Netgear Switch
Port 1: Internet access (Vigor 120, only acting as modem, no DHCP etc.) that is shared by the private VLAN, guest VLAN and VoIP VLAN.
Port 2-10: Private VLAN IP devices (e.g. DIR-655 WLAN, Laptop, NAS, Printer)
Port 11: VoIP phone with QoS? (good if it could be seen by the private VLAN devices for maintenance)
Port 12: Gargoyle Router for guest WLAN access to the internet. Devices connected to this port/WLAN should not be able to see anything else but internet access

I saw example setups but I failed to make them work on my Netgear router...and shutting out myself from the Netgear admin (when changing the PVID I guess ;-) )

Thanks in advance...

Other notes/questions:
Running a DHCP in each VLAN (pre definded IP range) shouldn't be a problem, right?
If port 12 would be setup with tagged traffic, does only the Gargoyle Router need to support it and not the connected WLAN devices?
