host own proxy server?

New Around Here
I have a windows compute running 24/7, and I would like to setup a proxy server on it. The reason is, since my setup boxes (Apple TV, Nvidia Shield, etc) are unable to directly use VPN, I would like for them to connect to my computer, and then have the computer bridge the proxy and VPN connections so that ultimately, traffic for my setup boxes are routed over my VPN.

I’m not trying to get access to geolocked content, so a dns hack won’t work.

One idea (among others): install Virtualbox, and setup a small pfsense VM. Use that VM as the setup box gateway.

If you're not trying to unlock Geo content - why bother with VPN?

Just let the clients do what they must...
