Solved How do I access ac66u_b1 on ap mode?

I set my ac66u_b1 on ap mode and it works fine as an ap. But I can't access the managing page. It's supposed to be working 192.168.50.1 and in my openwrt router, I can see its mac is indeed bound to 192.168.50.1. So how can I access the web UI without completely resetting the router? Thank you!

Just reset the 66u_b1 and solved the problem. Here is what I did. (All with a wired connection to my ASUS router)
1. Unplug the wire from the upper-level router (essential).
2. Reset the ASUS router. (If you still cannot log into the ASUS router, manually set your default gateway and IP address)
3. Set the WiFi and connect the upper-level router(connect to the LAN port, DON'T set it to AP mode).
4. Disable the DHCP on ASUS.
WiFi works fine and I can still access the ASUS router managing page.

The IP for the OpenWRT router is 192.168.50.3 (I previously used it under the ac66u_b1) and the subnet mask is 255.255.255.0. I currently use ac66u_b1 as my WiFi AP and it works fine so I guess there shouldn't be anything wrong with the network or the settings.
By the way, I am using the Merlin system on my ASUS router. Could that be the problem?

Sorry, I can't think why you can't access it by it's IP address, unless perhaps you had previously disabled HTTP access from the LAN.

I had such situation in the past when I change access from http to https and router had close to zero free nvram. All was working OK but there was no way I could log to it. The only way was to reset router to default settings

I switched this router to AP mode via 192.168.50.1. After applying I can't access it anymore. Thanks anyway.

You have to find the new address (look in the main router for its lease and IP address).

Yep. Pretty much just a sort-of-half-managed switch when as an AP.

Right, I reset the router and had it on AP mode and it's working and I can still access the web UI of it. I guess the real solution is reset.
