I am generally of the belief that you should NOT flash a router with new FW unless there is a problem or the update resolves security or other major issues.
I first check boards like this one for mentions of the new FW and problems. Silly me, how did I miss this multi-page monster:

I followed this rule almost exclusively up to now. When reviewing the changelog, the 3626 update seemed to have some important bits. After my search (lame as it was) didn't locate the problem thread above, I updated, and now am getting ready to 30/30/30 and backrev to the prior FW.
Why does every day have to be a learning experience............
