How to Configure secondary IP on LAN interface?

I want to add a secondary IP on the LAN interface. I tried manually create a script and add to nvram startup profile by following this thread: https://www.snbforums.com/threads/how-to-start-srcript-automatically-after-reboot-rt-ac86u.67453/

But after reboot, I could still see nothing has been added.

If I manually run the script, the IP could be added successfully. Is there a way to achieve that?

Those instructions are for stock Asus firmware, not Merlin. As you are using Merlin's firmware (you are posting in the Merlin forum) you should be using the Merlin custom scripts:
