New Around Here
Hi all,

What I want:
a dedicated domain name that can be used for:
1. access my Synology NAS via specific ports
2. access my router's admin page via speicifc ports.
3. Both 1 and 2 can be done through HTTPS without the browser's security warning.

What I have done:
1. I have purchased a domain name with Namecheap, and I also setup DDNS in the AX86U to push my router's IP address to Namecheap.
2. I have also purchased the SSL service with Namecheap. But when I trying to set it up, the Namecheap ask me to enter CSR file information, which I believe can be found in the place below.(see screenshot)

My question:
1. should I select "Import Your Own Certificate" or "None"
2. Regardless if I chose what, the "Server Certificate" section seems always showing my local network information instead of the .com domain name I entered above.
3. I have actually tried the export file for both options. None of them works.

Any advise?

Thanks

You have to generate your own key and CSR yourself. The router cannot generate a CSR for you.

Afterward, you will import both the key and the certificate on the router.
