BACKUPMON How to run backup if I don't have a source Ext USB drive?

This seems to be dumb question, but I can't figure out how to configure backupmon if I just want to back up my JFFS and NVRAM to a network SMB drive. This is for a satellite AiMesh node and there's no USB attached storage.

Ok I figure out one workaround is to

mkdir "/mnt/<selectusbdrive>"

But this is just too stupid...
