question regarding this
mkdir /tmp/asusrouterlock 2> /dev/null || exit will create a dir and if it is created again it will generate an error and exit
will this directory be removed after every reboot?
Yes, everything in /tmp will be gone at reboot. Some system directories and files are recreated during the boot.

.... /tmp/asusrouterlock ....
will this directory be removed after every reboot?

Yes, the contents of /tmp are only held in RAM memory. They go away and get recreated with each boot.
