I'm thinking about adding this switch to my home network and I'm curious about the "idle power" of the device. This switch will be connected to my primary UPS that's powering all of my network equipment and I'm just trying to estimate the impact of this switch on the battery life under mostly idle conditions. In the event of a power failure the computers attached to the UPS will be shut down very early so that my VoIP phone (which obviously requires the network to be up) stays powered for as long as possible. The max power of this switch is 18W which is quite high compared to the current power draw when only my current network equipment is being powered. Of course, max and idle power will be very different, but I can't find any specs on idle power for this device. Has anyone been able to find any idle power specs for this device? Maybe someone could try to measure the power of their own switch under idle conditions? A rough estimate is all I'm looking for, so any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
