Basically when i set the domain in the lan settings the router will for instance resolve www.ebay,.com but NOT go out to the net and resolve my local domain from the dns servers i have it configured for, or any name in that domain.
Is this normal?
Is the answer just not to set a local domain?
if so what is the purpose of that field..

thanks in advance.
domain set in lan settings:

default TTL = 1800 (30 mins)
> lgk.com.
Server: portalbackup.lgk.com
Address: 192.168.11.1

*** No start of authority (SOA) records available for lgk.com.

no domain set:

> lgk.com.
Server: [192.168.11.1]
Address: 192.168.11.1

Non-authoritative answer:
lgk.com
primary name server = r900.lgk.com
responsible mail addr = postmaster.r900.lgk.com
serial = 2025110201
refresh = 10800 (3 hours)
retry = 3600 (1 hour)
expire = 691200 (8 days)
default TTL = 18000 (5 hours)

Yes. The LAN domain name is your local, private domain name. Not a public domain name. Your public domain names would resolve (from elsewhere on the internet) to your router's WAN IP address, not a private address like 192.168.1.10.
