If I install Merlin on my ASUS GT-AX11000 can I leave ASUS Firmware on my 3 ASUS Nodes?

I am Brand Spanking New to Merlin Firmware...a baby...so I want to try Merlin on my router GT-AX11000. BUT I do not want to mess with the node firmware yet. Can I start off with just the AX11000 (myMain Router)?

Not exactly. Depending on what routers you use for nodes, you may have to do some extra work. Asuswrt-Merlin has some issues with AiMesh.

I have RT-AX3000 (1) and ZenWiFi AX XT8 (2) as nodes. Maybe it is better to leave a sleeping dog lie.

Try it and see of it works. The issues usually show with older AC routers. Unable to recognize the node is the most common one.
