in traffic monitor, does "transmission" also include LAN transfers (assuming so)

I'm just finding it odd that transmission is as high today when I haven't done much in my network. I'm trying to solve some issues I'm having with Fios and was about to switch out my router for a Fios router and thought to check the asus admin page first
