Intel Buys Killer Brand Maker Rivet Networks

Looks like Intel just acquired Killer, first Qualcomm bought them and now Intel... was hoping the Killer brand and terrible software would just die out.. I assume they'll still keep the Intel AX200/9260AC and Killer AX1650/1550 SKUs seperate, rather than make the Killer software addon optional for the standard cards.

Weird marketing move. I guess intel sees value in the killer brand. They can probably bundle some QoS software with thier current lineup. I'd assume this is the case for the current AX200/201 rebrands.


Next generation gamer motherboards will likely have a heavy push towards this instead of just "intel lan".

What's interesting is that on the DAY this was announced, Killer went and removed all the drivers to their Qualcomm-based products from their Support/Driver Downloads web page.
