Found out what plugging a Linksys WAP into an Avaya IP500 phone system RJ45 port wall jack does. Killed 30 digital ports on the phone system, one module, took about 5 hours to find it, by pure luck, when company owner discovered a 'dead' area for our public wireless network in the restaurant while having lunch with guests. Got the OK to replace that wrt54g running DD-wrt with a new cisco 891w and aeronet access points mounted on the ceiling and not where customers can reach them.
All in all an interesting day all round.
