Any quick explanations as to why this product has such high thruput performance?

Always look at the Throughput vs. Filesize plots. For some reason, it has very high cached performance. So it must be very quick to accept the data into memory.
Read performance is always a much more accurate indicator of the actual performance. Also look at the File Copy benchmarks.
