Until I get around to getting a new NAS I decided to try an upgrade procedure that flashes the firmware of the ix2-200 to a ix2-200-CE (Cloud Edition). The reason for this was mainly because the non-cloud firmware has some annoying thumbnail generating features and Iomega doesn't look like they will be addressing it. Iomega doesn't support this procedure so do so at our own risk. It is extremely easy though and didn't have any problems other than one of the USB sticks I was using didn't seem to want to load the firmware.
