IP ADDRESS assigned to Broadcom BCM47XX

Occasional Visitor
Noticed in my syslog that my Asus RT-AC3100 includes a Broadcom BCM47XX Ethernet Controller has an IP of 7.14.131.56 assigned to it.

Q:
1. what is the significance of this IP Address (a simple search says it's assigned to DISA).

2. Can/Should this be reconfigured, and if so, how can this be done.

Other than the syslog entry:
kernel fwd0: Broadcom BCM47XX 10/100-1000 Mps Ethernet Controller 7.14.131.56 (r641653)

Nothing related to this entry is noted in the web interface. Thoughts?

Thanks for the update.
Its interesting that after switching over to asuswrt-merlin, these values changed.
Any idea how (given the fact that their versioning numbers)?
Has the controller been updated with the new software?

The driver software is constantly being updated, just like any other software. Why would you think it wouldn't change?***

BTW You didn't mention what firmware versions you were running before and after installing Merlin.

*** Edit: Perhaps you were thinking that the BCM47XX "controller" was an independent entity with its own firmware. It's nothing so sophisticated, it's just a chipset and the version number refers to the software driver.
