iPhone / iPad USB tethering to Asus router

It appears that dd-wrt came up with iPhone Ethernet driver for Asus for secondary WAN, as USB modem.
Open WRT solution

Would it be possible to integrate this or similar driver to Asuswrt-Merlin firmware?

Couple years back the fastest internet available to me was 30Kb/s (gprs), only if I taped a android cell phone to a stick outside the upsatirs window. I used to wifi tether it to a router with dd-wrt. hehe

Tell Apple to use common standards instead of proprietary technologies, and it would work out of the box.
