IPv6 not assigend in repeater mode

New Around Here
I have two RT-AC56U routers both running on 380_61 firmware. The main device is set up as a router and woks fine with IPv6. The clients connected to it get valid IPv6 addresses and can browse using IPv6.

The second device is setup as a repeater to extend wireless range. It is setup to get IP automatically from the upstream router and I would expect this to include both IPv4 and IPv6. However any client connected to this box doesn't get an IPv6.

Is this the expected behaviour? If not, am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?

Many thanks.
