I'm interested, (really just for the fun of it) to look at all the traffic coming and going from my network. There use to be a software that I could install on windows (years ago) that you could have your router record to so it would track all of the connections etc. (as I recall).

Something that I could load on a kali linux (if it is not already there) would be nice since I dont use that computer. Just installed it for fun.

Can anyone recommend anything.
thank you.

PS I assume Layer 7 is right ? Or is it layer 3. I dont know I took this in school long ago. You memorize it for a test and them forget the details.

While I don't know about software, but give description I would say you talking about Layer 3 or network later.
