Hi, for your internet blockouts I suggest test using the before-last firmware (3.0.0.4.382.10513) as the last official one (3.0.0.4.382.40019) had some unstabilities.
In my case I use expressmode 5Ghz (the backhaul to the router is 5Ghz) and have no problems dowloading files at (real final throughput for a big file) 80-90mbps either connected through 2.4ghz wifi to the repeater.. just to give you an idea on what is quite possible....
