Hi, I currently have the ac66u for over a year and I do not have any complaints. A friend of mine was asking for an Asus router that supports 3g. I found a person on kijiji that has the ac56r which was only used for a couple of weeks.

Should I keep that router and give my ac66u to my friend? or just keep the ac66u? Which router will provide better signal? I currently share my internet with a neighbor a couple of floors down and would like to maintain the same signal.

Thanks!

I have the AC56R and live in a condo. I selected it on the recommendation of one of the more senior members here who informed me that it has the same hardware as the AC68U minus the external antennas. Fortunately I found a brand new one on Ebay for $55 and am very happy. I have no idea what kijiji is though but I WILL recommend the AC56R over most others. Asus has been releasing lots of firmware updates and we can now access the router from the Asus mobile app which is very cool!

There's probably a good reason why that person used that router for only a couple of weeks and now selling on Kijii...

I would suggest keeping the AC66U as it's working, it's been working, and no problems...
