Keep getting disconnected from Xbox Live.

Lately, I've been trying to play Black Ops 2 on my Xbox 360 on Xbox Live. I keep getting disconnected every match or every other match and my friends that I'm playing with don't lose connection to the match. I'll check my internet right after it happens and it will be working perfectly. The only issue I'm having is with staying connected on xbox live call of duty multiplayer. I do have an open nat, so I know that is not the issue.

Any body have any idea to what is causing this to happen?

I'm currently on merlin 374.43 build and I had the exact same issue on the 374.41 merlin build as well.

it could be a thousand things. the dns server being used. poor internet connection (even if it shows it is working fine after the internet can just drop for one sec and you will lose your xbox connection). some firewall setting in the router. if you are running torrents that are clogging the connection. how is the xbox connected? wireless or wired. what settings are you using. upnp? manual ip address? what dns are you using?

Is this a lan or WiFi connection to Xbox?

Do you have an ISP modem or an ISP router?

I had this problem too the other day when I started playing GTA again... What they say to do is delete your profile off of the system and re-download it. Also it has something to do with the NIC possibly because it stopped doing this after I pulled the power brick plug out of the system and let it sit for 15-20 mins. I also reset my modem/router as well so I'd just do those 3 things and you should be good.

P.S. Don't fully delete the profile and all your saved data pick just the profile temporarily or whatever the option is.

Turns out, my problem was just packet loss that was causing me to disconnect.
My ISP was receiving denial of service attacks. I have switched to the 374.35_4 merlin build and it seems like my throughput is way better with the sdk 5 driver over the sdk 6 driver.
