kernel Link DOWN?

Hi

Want to ask before i check further seeing as my router is only a day old and possibly another faulty one.

In my system log i noticed:

Code:
Mar 15 22:24:35 kernel: eth1 (Ext switch port: 0) (Logical Port: 8) Link DOWN.
Mar 15 22:24:35 kernel: br0: port 1(eth1) entered disabled state
Mar 15 22:24:43 kernel: eth1 (Ext switch port: 0) (Logical Port: 8) Link UP 100 mbps full duplex
Mar 15 22:24:43 kernel: br0: port 1(eth1) entered listening state
Mar 15 22:24:43 kernel: br0: port 1(eth1) entered listening state
Mar 15 22:24:45 kernel: br0: port 1(eth1) entered learning state
Mar 15 22:24:47 kernel: br0: topology change detected, propagating
Mar 15 22:24:47 kernel: br0: port 1(eth1) entered forwarding state

I noticed it this morning to, anyone know what it means, i assume it means router ethernet port(s) are either faulty or faulty/dodgy ethernet cable maybe? is there a way to tell by the above log entries?

As it only happened twice and because router is new i want to try and figure out what causing it,

I got a media box which is connected to ethernet port 4 on router, ethernet ports 1,2,3 are not in use just ethernet port 4 which goes to my media box. I have a rt-ac86u

thank you.

anyone please? thank you.

According to this post eth1 is Ethernet port #4. So the messages indicate that your media box was rebooted or in some way disconnected and reconnected.

Thank you @ColinTaylor, i am such a numpty sometimes, i restart the mediabox sometimes, power it off/standby. Last night i was browsing router logs at same time turned off media box and boom that's why.
