By accident, because I decided to add ntpd.log to syslog-ng/UiScribe, I disovered that ntpd died on me three days ago. I don't understand why. While I searching I fount that the error "kernel reports TIME_ERROR: 0x2041: Clock Unsynchronized" will only occur in panic mode when there's a deviation of 1000ms of larger suddenly, but as you can see, there's no such thing, it's only 0.280 usec off.
As I decided to have my router server as a local NTP-server, and have all NTP-requests being rerouted to the router, I wish there was a way I'd noticed earlier and I can't stand the fact that I can't find the cause. The logfile is to small to browse back ?to the time and date this occured. Any idea how this occured. And is there anyway to be notified if a specific error shows up in (one of) the logfiles?
See https://dpaste.com/AGBEX9LBS for details.
Any clues as to what happened are most welcome.
