Hello. Looking to use my old Linksys WRT54G router downstream from my new RT-AC66U. The old router I am setting up as a separate SSID in an outbuilding a couple hundred feet from my house.
I turned off the DHCP Server on the old router, set its IP to 192.168.1.2, set the operating mode to bridge, and gave the SSID a unique name. Then set 192.168.1.2 as a manually assigned IP address in the RT-AC66U. Connected the two routers by cable LAN to LAN port. This seems to be working fine.
I'd like the wifi out there to be separated entirely from my home network so that visitors cannot access or see my home network. Is it already separated done this way?
Is setting up the old router using this LAN-ROUTE table a better way to go? If so, could someone help me set it up? I don't know how to fill out these fields.
Thanks
