I have Layer3 TV that I had problems with. Techs came out and installed a Trendnet TW100-S4W1CA/a in between my modem and router. They then connected my two Ethernet cables that went to the main DVR box and their lite box to this Trendnet. They said that by doing this it puts their box in a separate network from all the other devices connected to the router and their devices will bypass my firewall.
My problem is now I can’t access my Cameras remotely. How can access my cameras with this connected or can it be all done with my router and not use this Trendnet? I am currently using NetGears firmware V1.0.2.58
My devices are connected in this order starting with the internet
1. Cable modem NetGear CM500
2. Trendnet TW100-S4W1CA/a
3. Netgear R7800
Update!! Spectrum came out and removed the Trendnet because it was choking my internet speed from 200 down to 85.
Now back to having video problems with Layer3 TV.
