LFTP slow on Merlin - RT-AC68U

New Around Here
I was able to install lftp through the ipkg package manager and it works pretty solid. I have the configs scripted to move into the root folders on reboot and I am loving that I basically now have a server that can pull downloads from my seedbox.

However... Although I am running segmented parallel downloads with lftp (10 sements/file), they seem to cap at 1000KB per file, while my max bandwidth is 3000KB. So if I am running one transfer, it will cap at 1000KB... but if I am running 3 transfers simultaneously, they will all run at 1000KB each. So it doesn't seem to be a question of resources, as I can max out the router when multiple transfers are running.

The reason this is all weird to me, is that if I am on the WiFI and running lftp through my laptop, I can max out my bandwidth on a single segmented lftp transfer. So why is the lftp on my Asus RT-AC68U so much slower than my laptop.
