Login problems

I have a Synology RT2600 AC router, SRM version 1.2.3
It is connected to a 2015 iMac running Catalina
I just attached a 120 GB flash drive to the router
When, on my iMaC, I went to Connect to Server and entered afp://SynologyRouter.local and hit Connect, I was asked for a password.
I am religious about saving all my passwords in 1Password. I assumed that the password it is looking for is the same one I use to access my Synology Router Manager, but it rejects that password.
What other user name/password could it possibly use/be seeking??

Using a password manager has benefits, but like here, it can have pitfalls too.

I am religious about saving my passwords (period), no manager needed.

How long are the passwords/username? Is it actually entering the correct one? Are there spaces, special characters, punctuation and/or smiley faces used. All of these can be a cause of the issues you're seeing.

Does using a different browser work? Does using a different PC work? Do the Synology default passwords work?
