Looking for Feedback: RT-BE92U stability issues

@jzchen, test the reported LAN ports isolation when WLAN radio clients isolation is selected. If this one is reproduceable - it's a huge bug. I know it was reported to ASUS already, but see what is happening on latest Asuswrt. Also mention your hardware revision, some folks report V5.1 already. This is unusual, I don't remember seeing so many different revisions in short period of time. Thank you!
Know an easy way to do this test, then please share? Otherwise it is just sitting there as an AiMesh node I'm afraid...

No easy way, it requires some efforts. The device has to be in Router mode, Guest Network active, wireless Clients isolated on this network, test the communication between two wired clients. If your device is sitting as Node you can't test much on it. It's an Access Point or wired-to-wireless bridge, no routing.

Thanks, that`s all you can do at this time, unless you can manage to reliably cause the router to reboot, in which case sending logfiles after a crash would be helpful. Sending them logs following a radio crash might be helpful as well (particularly if ALL clients get disconnected, indicating it`s not just a single problematic client, but the router itself resetting its radio).

I need to see if I can reproduce the crash once again with the stock firmware. Been too busy with work today to do anything beside just turn it on with a mini PC plugged to a LAN port, and leave it running in hopes of crashes.
I received an email with a link to a beta firmware they want me to try. As of when I last posted I had turned off the MLO button and since got my pihole working, so there is now one "busy" device on the routers LAN port. I had no issues last night. I also have noticed as mentioned it seems to be happening when a lot of devices are busy streaming and gaming at once, which was not going on last night either. So a few too many factors I think for me to be the one flashing a beta firmware just yet. I need to eliminate things one by one. So if I have a heavy use night with MLO still disabled and no issues I would be inclined to leave things alone a couple weeks to see what happens before trying something else.

9.0.0.6_102_39065 ?

After testing it, make sure you submit your logs through the Feedback page if you still experience issues or crashes.

I am not a power user, bought my BE92U Oct 2025. I have stock Firmware HV 3.0. I have 8 devices connected 4 wired and 4 wireless, my laptop is my main driver and it's wired and i download to it then file transfer to my PC or mini PC depending what file goes where. It's been rock solid from day 1, i did one factory reset after one of the updates, settings are pretty much the same except for Wireless channels are changed. I watch Youtube most of the night, i stream some movies/tv shows and never had anything drop, i download stuff and never been interupted. Not much help in troubleshooting peoples issues, only thing i can say is Hardware revisions an issue? One revision more than others?

Your setup is perfect to test one of the reported issues. Set a Guest Network, select Set AP Isolated on it. Test if you have communication between the wired devices. Few people reported the wired devices become isolated as well and if true - this is a bug in firmware.

One revision more than others?

Not necessarily. Can be minor component differences due to supply chain changes.

Done! Took a minute to find set AP Isolation had to hit the Advanced settings! I have folder from both Wired PC's on my laptop desktop, fo far i can navigate to everything, both PC'S have external drives hooked to them and i can naviagte to everything. I am gonna do a files transfer from laptop hooked to mini pc and transfer files to the other pc, so it will be using 3 wired connected devices at the same time.

Ok i did 2 transfers, did a wired one first all was fine, connected Laptop to guest network and can't see my network, but i am guessing that's what it supposed to do when connected to Guest Network?

See if you can reproduce this issue:

Ok give me a sec i have to go to the other devices and check and see, all my ports are occupied, Laptop is on Lan 1, Mini PC on Lan 2 And PC on Lan 3.

Thank you for spending the time to test this. It was reported to ASUS, hopefully they fix it soon.

Yes, that is the point of having an isolated guest network:
Devices on isolated network can't reach you main network, devices on main network can reach isolated network.
Both networks can reach the internet.

devises on main network can reach isolated network

No, by default they can't. The isolation is both ways. What we were testing here is Set AP Isolated unexpected effect on LAN ports 2-4. This feature isolates the devices on the same WLAN from each other.

II stand corrected (just tested with phone on isolated network, can't ping it).
Well, the reason for my confusion is that my phone (on main network) can communicate with my IOT devices, but now I realize that they actually use the internet to do that.

Have checked the log now, it says a couple of times somewhere in the lin log, but look today just in case
Kernel: CFG80211-ERROR) wl_cfg80211_change_station :

Kernel: WLC_SCB_DEAUTHORIZE error (-30

The only problem I have with the RT-BE92u I play Xbox series X on port one a cat 8 ethernet cable, randomly get latency spikes and packet loss up too 99% on upload and when I play games like Fortnite or call of duty zombies latency goes from 30ms to 50ms from game to game
