Hi
I am using a Win 10 x64 PC through an Asus RT-AX58U router (Asus-Merlin firmware) to stream to devices on my home network using dlna.
I use Serviio for video hardwired to my TV, MinimServer for music hardwired to my HiFi (controlled by WiFi on tablet ) and also stream SMB via WiFi to my tablet for photos.
All was running well, and once I finally setup the Asus equipment to use WiFi6, which was a nightmare, I had no issue with my setup at all.
I am a firm believer in not upgrading for upgrades sake until I have to.
Having said that I have just upgraded my PC to a much faster one (yes I know!) and now find I have no dlna or WiFi streaming at all!
My old motherboard, which connects between the PC and the router, had an intel 1Gb chip; my new motherboard has a Realtek 2.5Gb chip, but that is the only real difference as far as connections are concerned.
I always use my own dhcp settings for my connected devices as I find this normally helps when debugging.
So I have deleted my old PC dhcp in the router and changed to the same address as my old one using the new device mac code. Which appears to be working, I think?
My PC is working fine and connects to the internet without problem, as do my WiFi devices, phones etc.
The problem I have is that I have lost all dlna capability from my PC. My TV and HiFi cannot find any dlna servers and won't work at all.
I did notice the router showed the PC connection as 2.4 WiFi instead of ethernet, but that may be just another of the many Asus bugs, as unplugging the ethernet cable between my PC and router loses the connection.
My motherboard is WiFi capable but I have disbaled that function in the BIOS as I don't need it.
I have tried just about every option to do with dlna and Win 10 that I could find, all to no avail.
Is this a router issue or a PC / Win 10 issue.
I would appreciate any feedback and suggestions you might have.
Regards
