Is there a cigar-box sized VPN client or GRE tunnel device that would L2 bridge a small number of data acquisition devices with ethernet NICs, to a LAN/WAN and onward to a data center? At the data center, there'd be a like-kind device, or if viable, a standards based VPN concentrator. The data acquisition devices cannot do SSL/TLS.
I know of Fortress Tech and 3eTI but these are an overkill. I haven't seen a bridge/router in consumer/SOHO that can terminate a VPN and bridge to, say, a VLAN port.
