My ISP WAN speed is 80 mbps. And when I run a speedtest from the phone, I get the full 80 mbps. So far, so good.
But when I run that speedtest from my desktop PC's I get around 40 mbps. The logical explanation would be that they have worse wifi adaptors (although they are very recent Intel NUC's), old drivers, etc.
But when I test the speed between the two PC's the LAN read/write speeds are around 60 mbps. And the data even has to travel through the air twice in this case.
So I guess that proofs that 40 mbps is not their limit, otherwise they wouldn't be able to achieve 60 mbps in LAN.
Could there be any logical explanation for this?
