MAC filter bug?

I don't know if it's a bug with Merlin's firmware or a bug with ASUS's firmware but if I set my router to reject the MAC addresses of my Apple equipment on the 2.4GHz channel after a minute or two it also prevents that same equipment from connecting to the 5GHz channel too, despite there not being any MAC filtering enabled on the 5GHz channel.

Is there another MAC Address for the 5ghz radio on your Apple device?

Not as far as I'm aware, but surely filtering on the 2.4GHz radio shouldn't be filtering on the 5GHz radio?

It filters the wireless MAC Address, not what band is used.

It sure looks like per band filtering to me.

Thought it was global. Try the other way around see what happens. Maybe it's a bug..
