Mail problem 386.1

After updating my AC86U to 386.1 from 384.19 all mail apps on all computers and phones stoped working, both sending and receiving.
I got back to 384.19 and everything works again.
Any idea?

How many 'dirty upgrades' has the router endured without first flashing the firmware and then doing a full reset on it before minimally and manually configuring it to secure it and connect to your ISP?
